General Responsibilities

  • Aid with accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase orders, billings
  • Support weekly payroll processing, including certified payroll for 40+ employees
  • Collaborate with colleagues on implementing and changing to new accounting software
  • Manage inventory control and tracking
  • Participate in reviewing new and ongoing contracts for compliance with negotiated terms, conditions, specifications
  • Organize, manage, and administer project-related materials and documents, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, risk mitigation, contract specifications, and government regulations
  • Contribute to general office tasks such as answering phones, checking faxes, and managing mail
  • Engage in human resource management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Abilities/Qualifications

  • Prioritize and organize workload effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, highly meticulous
  • Tolerant of a fast-paced, multi-task deadline-oriented environment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload
  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills
  • Self-starter attitude
  • Skilled typing ability
  • Prefer 2 years clerical/accounting/billing experience in construction industry
  • College degree or secondary education/training in Accounting preferred
  • Secondary education/training in Accounting required
