General Responsibilities
- Aid with accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase orders, billings
- Support weekly payroll processing, including certified payroll for 40+ employees
- Collaborate with colleagues on implementing and changing to new accounting software
- Manage inventory control and tracking
- Participate in reviewing new and ongoing contracts for compliance with negotiated terms, conditions, specifications
- Organize, manage, and administer project-related materials and documents, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, risk mitigation, contract specifications, and government regulations
- Contribute to general office tasks such as answering phones, checking faxes, and managing mail
- Engage in human resource management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Abilities/Qualifications
- Prioritize and organize workload effectively
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, highly meticulous
- Tolerant of a fast-paced, multi-task deadline-oriented environment
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills
- Self-starter attitude
- Skilled typing ability
- Prefer 2 years clerical/accounting/billing experience in construction industry
- College degree or secondary education/training in Accounting preferred
- Secondary education/training in Accounting required
