Constituent Services Representative (Caseworker)

About the role

The Office of U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono seeks a Constituent Services Representative (Caseworker) to provide exceptional constituent service in a professional, nonpartisan, and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for constituents seeking assistance with federal agencies and programs.
• Advocate on behalf of Hawaii residents experiencing challenges with federal agencies.
• Provide exceptional constituent service in a professional, nonpartisan, and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience Level: Prior professional experience is required.
• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with and deep appreciation of Hawaii’s multi-ethnic society and the uniqueness of each island community.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Professional Standards: Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and strict adherence to confidentiality.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
• Helpful Experience: Working directly with federal agencies or within federal, state, or local government processes; constituent services, social services, legal services, non-profit work, or customer advocacy; demonstrating a track record of effectively engaging with diverse populations and vulnerable communities.
