Constellation Schools is seeking highly qualified Instructional Paraprofessional in Cleveland, Ohio for the 2026-2027 School Year.
About the Opportunity
- Aid students in using technology and computer-based learning programs as directed.
- Support teachers in meeting academic requirements and grading work.
- Work with small groups of students, assisting with small group instruction.
- Able and willing to accept assignments related to student safety, including restraining a student.
- Participate in necessary training to meet student needs.
- Assist with lifting, bathing, and personal assistance as needed.
- Follow safety plans, rules, and guidelines of the school.
- Provide academic and social support to students.
- Assist teachers with lesson assessments and assignments.
- Maintain a welcoming attitude to create a positive educational environment.
- Complete necessary paperwork and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About You
- Educational aide or educator licensure required (ESEA Qualified).
- 1-2 years’ experience preferred with students with special needs.
- Maturity and patience required to support students academically and emotionally.
- Able to identify and refer situations to the Principal as needed.
- Able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work for quality.
- Able to adapt to changes, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Able to be consistently at work, on time, follow instructions, respond to leadership direction, and accept feedback for improvement.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, reach, and sit to respond to student needs.
- Able to restrain a student if necessary for their safety.
Work Environment
This position may be physically demanding at times. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to bend, stoop, sit, and stoop. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. Employee must be willing and able to physically restrain a child if/when needed.

- Compensation: The starting hourly rate for this position is $15.00/hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
