Job Summary

Christiana Care Health System is recruiting for a full-time Security Officer at our Christiana Hospital location. The position involves patrolling grounds, responding to incidents, and enforcing parking regulations.

Requirements

• Associates degree or higher – Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent formal Law Enforcement training
• One year Law Enforcement or Public Safety experience
• Current Driver's License
• Prior Law enforcement experience preferred
• Maintain certifications in firearms, Taser, CPR according to departmental standards
• Must meet State Constable requirements

Responsibilities

• Works closely with law enforcement agencies
• Patrols campus facilities, providing security coverage during hours of operation
• Responds to calls for service for students, faculty, staff, and visitors
• Investigates and completes written reports for incidents and accidents
• Operates DELJIS, Report Executive Records Management System, Access Control Systems, and other assigned technology

Pay

Hourly Pay Range: $18.19 - $26.37

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
