Conservatory Teacher- Visual Arts
About the role
The OCSA Visual Arts conservatory is seeking to fill the position of Digital Photography teacher. This position is part-time and offers a comprehensive introduction to digital photography, including camera operation, composition, image capture, and post-production editing using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Responsibilities
- Create a supportive and flexible learning environment to nurture each student's personal growth.
- Plan, develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive educational program for students in the skills of digital photography.
- Collaborate with colleagues to reflect on and refine instructional practice.
- Teach a class of up to 18 students, focusing on camera operation, composition, image capture, and post-production editing.
- Incorporate local walking excursions that provide meaningful photographic opportunities.
- Work with Canon EOS Rebel cameras and other provided instructional materials and equipment.
- Bring your own creative perspective, professional experience, and instructional ideas to enhance the learning experience.

Comments and Other Information
No credential is necessary at the time of applying. However, the selected candidate will be required to obtain a Preliminary Career Technical Education (CTE) credential during the onboarding process and before the start of their assignment and a Clear CTE credential within three years.
