Responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the W.C. Bradley Co. Farm in Stewart County, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Provide check-in and check-out assistance to guests of the Lodge and Farm.
- Provide transportation when needed between the Lodge and other locations, including transportation to and from airport, Columbus, and various recreational and shopping locations.
- Assist Hunting Guides and Lodge Keeper as required.
- Clean games harvested by guests.
- Drive and maintain tractors.
- Maintain landscaping: mowing lawns, raking leaves, picking up limbs, trimming hedges, etc.
- Cut and stack firewood.
- Cut and bale hay.
- Wash down kennels, trucks, hunting buggy, etc.
- Work with bird dogs and horses as required.
- Make repairs on buildings and facilities (paint).
- Maintain boathouse in clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Perform basic maintenance for boathouse and boats, including checking and maintaining appropriate oil and lubricant levels, keeping boats gassed, and cleaning boats after use.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED, or equivalent experience, required. Two years of tech school preferred.
- Minimum Work Experience: Two-three years experience working in forest/farm/recreational operations and multi-natural resource required.
- Ability to operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment.
- Availability to work 60 hours a week (average) during summer/early fall in preparation of upcoming seasons.
- Must be able to legally possess and safely use a firearm/hunting rifle/knife.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Customer Service – ability and desire to serve all recreational users by creating high-quality experiences for each user resulting in repeat and total increase in visitor usage on the property.
