About the Role

As a Connectivity Technician at Standley Systems, you will be responsible for the equipment installation process from delivery to configuration. This position reports to the Imaging Implementation Manager and plays a key role in ensuring seamless technology deployment for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as on-site technician for equipment installation, working as part of a team.
  • Configure print and scan devices using provided network information.
  • Install print drivers on Mac OS and Windows OS.
  • Configure scanning and fax functions on devices using provided data and settings.
  • Record events, problems, and resolutions in the ticketing system and close calls daily by end of day.
  • Maintain and clean company vehicle, including performing weekly service checks on assigned delivery truck.
  • Drive and operate a box truck with lift gate, hand truck/dolly, and mechanical pallet jack.
  • Deliver, pick up, load, and unload equipment using the company vehicle.
  • Use diagnostic tools and service aids to assess and resolve equipment and system failures.
  • Participate in team meetings (L-10’s) and communicate with multiple teams to complete installations.
  • Perform basic assembly of copiers and address customer concerns following escalation procedures.
  • Provide feedback to management for process improvement.
  • Attend service training classes and meetings to maintain and expand technical knowledge.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer relations experience and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and basic mechanical skills, including the use of hand tools.
  • Good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
  • Proficient PC skills and 1+ years of experience in customer service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screens (note: medical marijuana license-holders who test positive will not qualify due to federal contract requirements).
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision for computer work.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Travel to other Standley Systems offices and customer sites during normal business hours is required.

Work Environment

  • Moderate noise levels (e.g., business office with computers, phones, and printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to work in multiple environments, including driving a box truck.
