The Infrastructure Team
The Infrastructure Team is working on key problems such as compressing the install time for hundreds of thousands of fiber terminations, making quality a gate rather than a hope, and scaling an LVC workforce faster than the market produces it.
Examples of key problems the team is working on include:
- Compressing the install time for hundreds of thousands of fiber terminations per building in weeks, across multiple concurrent gigawatt builds.
- Making quality a gate, not a hope, by testing every link and proving every loss budget before the first GPU powers on.
- Scaling an LVC workforce faster than the market produces it, by building playbooks, QA gates, and field standards that take a contractor crew from onboarding to first-pass-yield quality in days.
Role Scope
The role involves owning the full lifecycle of physical installation projects, including coordinating LVC schedules, running QA/QC on contractor work, and ensuring installs meet design standards, safety codes, and labeling policy.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary on-site technical point of contact for the Low Voltage Contractor and internal engineering teams, and acting as remote hands during deployment and validation.
- Managing the LVC deployment schedule to milestones, coordinating access, material delivery, and staging with facility operations, and reporting progress and delays.
- Running multi-stage QA inspections on rack placement, racking, cable routing, grounding, and labeling against the BoM and design documentation.
- Conducting or overseeing optical loss testing (OLTS), OTDR analysis, and insertion/return loss on all fiber links, and verifying copper (Cat6a/Cat8) integrity with certified testers.
- Acting as the SME for fiber and structured cabling best practices (BICSI), generating final test reports, as-builts, and RCAs, and owning closeout and handoff to operations.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an SME in fiber optics, structured cabling, and data center physical infrastructure, with hands-on deployment experience on mission-critical sites.
Requirements include:
- Hands-on deployment experience on mission-critical sites.
- Advanced fiber testing (OTDR, VFL, power meter) and installation techniques and design standards knowledge.
- Experience racking, stacking, and cabling servers, network, and storage hardware at scale.
- Ability to read and translate technical drawings and schematics (AutoCAD, Visio), and drive projects to completion through ambiguity.
- Willingness to travel 50% for onsite turn-ups, wherever the work is.
Bonus qualifications include BICSI RCDD or vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper), hyperscale standardization programs, and ITIL.

The compensation range for this role is $182K - $219K.
