About the role

Mountain View Hospital is looking for an Outpatient Therapy Office Staff Specialist to join our Rigby team!

Responsibilities

• Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of patients and admission of individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.
• Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
• Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer.
• Audits medial records and charges for accuracy and assists business office for timely and accurate billings.
• Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments.
• Maintains a 95% accuracy rate on all admissions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to use hospital information system, fax machine and operate computer functions and software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
