Conflicts Analyst
for section headings. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose. Do not repeat job title as heading. Do not include Job ID. Remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. The posting includes some links and some generic statements like "About MoFo" etc. We need to preserve substantive info.
We need to extract:
- Overview: "At MoFo, we couldn’t write our own success story without yours. Ready to write your story? Join MoFo as a CONFLICTS ANALYST on our Conflicts/New Business team! This role can be based in San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Austin, or New York." That's location info.
- About The Role: paragraphs describing duties.
- About You: requirements.
- About Mofo: description of firm.
- About Our Benefits: benefits description.
- Salary ranges: location-based ranges.
We need to decide sections: maybe "About the role", "Responsibilities", "Requirements", "About the firm", "Benefits", "Pay". But we must only include sections if there is real specific content. The posting includes responsibilities in "About The Role". Could treat that as responsibilities. Could also have a separate "Responsibilities" heading but we should not duplicate. The instruction: use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can choose appropriate headings. We have content for About the role (description), About You (requirements), About Mofo (maybe about firm), About Our Benefits (benefits), and salary ranges (Pay). We could combine About Mofo and About Our Benefits into "About the firm" and "Benefits". Or we could have "About the firm" and "Benefits". The posting includes "About Mofo" and "About Our Benefits". So we can have headings: About the role, Requirements, About the firm, Benefits, Pay.
We need to use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. The responsibilities are in paragraph form, not a list. Could we convert to list? The instruction: use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. If the original is not a list, we can keep as
. Only if there is a list we should use
. The responsibilities are sentences; we can keep as . Requirements also are sentences; could be list but not originally. We'll keep as
. Benefits: they list items: medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage; industry-leading parental leave; global wellness program; annual community service day; birthday holiday; education reimbursement; dedicated Talent Development team; competitive annual profit-sharing contribution. That's a list; we can make
- . Pay: we have salary ranges per location; we can present as
or maybe a list. We'll use
.
We must not include filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We must remove boilerplate: links? The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The links to mofo.com/offices, about, community, etc. Are those considered navigation? Possibly they are part of the posting but could be considered boilerplate? The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. The links to internal pages might be considered navigation; but they are part of the description about offices, about, inclusion, pro bono, foundation. Might be considered substantive? They provide info about offices and firm. However, the instruction says remove navigation boilerplate. Might be safer to remove the URLs but keep the textual description. For example: "This role can be based in San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Austin, or New York." Keep that. The link after that can be removed. Similarly "About Us: https://www.mofo.com/about" maybe remove URL but keep "About Us". But the heading "About Us" is not a heading we use; we have our own headings. The text "About Us: https://www.mofo.com/about" could be turned into a sentence: "About Us". But we can just drop the URL and keep "About Us". However, the instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. The URL is not substantive; it's a link. So we can drop it. Similarly for other links.
Thus we will produce:
About the role
... (the responsibilities paragraphs)
Requirements
... (about you)
About the firm
... (About Mofo description)
Benefits
- ...
...
Pay
... salary ranges
We need to ensure we don't include empty sections.
Now extract the exact text.
From posting:
Overview: "At MoFo, we couldn’t write our own success story without yours. Ready to write your story? Join MoFo as a CONFLICTS ANALYST on our Conflicts/New Business team! This role can be based in San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Austin, or New York."
We could incorporate overview into About the role or as a separate intro. Since we have About the role heading, we can include overview as part of that section.
About The Role text:
"The Conflicts Analyst applies detailed knowledge of professional methods to produce, review and analyze conflict of interest reports and to perform government sanctions screenings. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position. Produce and review conflict reports and identify potential conflicts of interest and sanctions issues using the Firm’s conflicts software.Conduct factual research on client and parties to Firm matters using corporate structure and government sanctions lists external databases to identify corporate relationships and government sanctions status. Conduct factual research relating to the identification of potential conflicts issues, including determining if relevant matters have been closed, ascertaining the nature of an entity’s role in a particular matter, retrieving any existing waivers and identifying affiliate relationships of corporate entities using external databases.Review new requests and return results using the Firm’s in-house developed workflow system.Independently analyze the report with limited guidance from Conflicts Coordinators.Apply the Firm’s filtering and report summary application and submit the conflicts analysis results in Word to attorneys and secretaries via the electronic workflow system.Request the creation of ethical walls upon request as appropriate.Research and update corporate family trees.Retrieve and send waiver letters to attorneys upon requestConsistently promote and model the Firm's Client Service Principles in leadership."
We need to ensure spacing and readability. We'll keep as paragraph.
About You:
"Minimum one year of conflicts or legal assistant experience (or similar law firm experience in a decision-making capacity) required.Intapp Conflicts experience strongly preferred.Experience with Microsoft applications required. Ability to respond to requests with appropriate sense of urgency based on business needs. Knowledge of conflicts of interest issues, laws and procedures. Ability to work overtime, as required."
About Mofo:
"At MoFo, we collaborate as one firm, across borders, practice areas, and business functions and value fresh ideas and innovation over conformity and competition."
Then there are links: About Us, Inclusion + Engagement, Commitment to Pro Bono, The MoFo Foundation. We can keep the descriptive text maybe: "About Us: https://www.mofo.com/about" we drop URL. "Inclusion + Engagement: https://www.mofo.com/community/we-at-mofo" drop URL. "Commitment to Pro Bono: https://www.mofo.com/community/pro-bono" drop URL. "The MoFo Foundation: https://www.mofo.com/culture/mofo-foundation" drop URL.
We could combine as: "At MoFo, we collaborate as one firm, across borders, practice areas, and business functions and value fresh ideas and innovation over conformity and competition. About Us. Inclusion + Engagement. Commitment to Pro Bono. The MoFo Foundation." But that seems odd. Better to keep the sentence about collaboration and maybe mention the initiatives: "About Us, Inclusion + Engagement, Commitment to Pro Bono, The MoFo Foundation." However, we must not invent detail. The original includes those headings with URLs. We can keep the textual labels as part of the paragraph: "About Us, Inclusion + Engagement, Commitment to Pro Bono, The MoFo Foundation." That is preserving the info (the names). That seems acceptable.
About Our Benefits:
"MoFo offers a comprehensive benefits package starting on your first day. A variety of options for medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage to meet the needs of you and your family.Industry-leading parental leave and family benefits including adoption and fertility treatment options and backup child and elder care.Global wellness program, including free access to Talkspace and Calm apps.Annual community service day to make an impact on your community and a birthday holiday just for fun.Education reimbursement annually.Dedicated Talent Development team.Competitive annual profit-sharing contribution."
Then salary ranges:
"Where required by law, salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications. We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Chance Laws and Ordinances. Palo Alto, New York, San Francisco salary range: $70k to $99k Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego salary range:$67k-$93k Austin salary range:$63k-$87k"
We need to include Pay section with salary ranges. The extra sentences about additional compensation etc. are substantive; we can include them in Pay section as prose.
Now we need to ensure we don't include any boilerplate like "For questions regarding this position, please e-mail jobs@mofo.com". That's application instruction; remove.
Now produce HTML.
We'll wrap each section in and content.
Make sure to not include any extra text outside HTML fragment.
Let's craft:
