Conflicts Analyst

The Conflicts Analyst position is open for a dynamic individual to join a growing, national law firm. The firm offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and career advancement opportunities.

About the Role

This role involves defining effective search strategies, conducting conflicts searches, analyzing and communicating results, performing corporate research, drafting documents, and assisting in database clean-up. The ideal candidate should have experience in a conflicts department within a law firm, possess excellent attention to detail, and be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Define effective search strategies and conduct conflicts searches for new business and potential lateral matters using the firm’s internal electronic database.
• Analyze, articulate, and communicate search results to firm attorneys, including identifying and resolving potential conflicts.
• Perform comprehensive corporate research using online databases to accurately determine corporate affiliations and relationships.
• Work collaboratively with Conflicts Counsel, General Counsel, firm attorneys, and the conflicts team to aid in conflicts resolution.
• Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for review.
• Aid in the large-scale review, reconciliation, and clean-up of the firm’s existing client/matter information and conflicts database.
• Provide excellent customer service to legal assistants and firm attorneys.
• Be willing to work remotely outside of normal business hours as needed.

Requirements

• Intapp experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects while providing an accurate work product in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Ability to take initiative and adapt to changes in workflow, processes, and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Possess an acute attention to detail.
• Experience working in a conflicts department in a mid- to large-sized law firm for at least 1 year.
• Working knowledge of professional responsibility and legal ethics rules pertaining to conflicts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $25 - $37 per hour.

The position is fully remote and requires the candidate to reside in one of the following cities: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Chicago, Dayton, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis, Minneapolis.
