Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Captures and generates Bills of Material (BOM) from customer-supplied part lists and solicitation/print packages
- Manages and organizes an electronic filing system for all print packages and archives electronic documents on a network server
- Prioritizes and implements customer (internal and external) changes related to BOM change requests
- Maintains and initiates the BOM change notification process
- Manages and maintains a catalog index of purchased external specifications
- Fulfills requests related to document distribution
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical design engineering, business, manufacturing technology, accounting, or information systems, preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings
- Ability to apply rule-based logic to convert parts lists into BOMs
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to prioritize tasks and direct fellow team members
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
