About the role

iT1, a leading national technology solution provider headquartered in Tempe, AZ, seeks a skilled and experienced Configuration Technician II to join their team. The role offers exposure to top technology offerings and opportunities to work with talented professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure computers and peripherals based on the scope of work.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with malfunctioning PCs, Macs, laptops, printers, or other peripherals.
  • Perform quality control on assigned projects.
  • Respond to order requests and customer emails to assist with troubleshooting problems.
  • Train team members on processes, tools, and technology.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in day-to-day operations.

Essential Functions

  • Imaging laptops and desktops.
  • Hardware and software installations and configurations.
  • Troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware and software issues.
  • Bench test refurbished devices such as PCs, monitors, switches, phones, etc.
  • Desktop and Laptop repair.
  • Server hardware configuration.
  • Small office installs.
  • Documentation.

Job Qualification Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • A+ or comparable experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of common desktop applications.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware.
  • Ability to work full time.
  • Occasional travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Dependable transportation.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Physical Demands

  • Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Lift 50 lbs +.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Time spent in low postures (crouching, stooping, kneeling, bending).
  • Climbing (ramps, stairs, or ladders).
  • Sit at a computer for 8 hours per day.
  • Keyboarding for 8 hours per day.
  • Reaching overhead.
  • Near vision (working with small objects or reading small print).
  • Speaking (communicating information to clients / coworkers).

Duration

This position is a benefits eligible, temporary role with a 12-month duration. It includes:
