About the role

B-52 CERP is an engine replacement program. The team in Oklahoma City is implementing a new engine and associated systems, adapting 2020 engine technology into a 1950s aircraft architecture. The engine provides thrust, bleed air for cooling, hydraulic power for large surface movement, and electrical power for electronics. Configuration Management Specialists will inform designers on military configuration management rules, determine necessary kitting for modifications, and organize drawing structures for engineers and the modification facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide organization to issues and planning tasks
• Develop and communicate plans to stakeholders
• Apply knowledge of military configuration management rules
• Determine kitting requirements for aircraft modifications
• Organize drawing structures for engineers and modification facilities
• Manage EIA 649-1 compliance
• Process change and variance management
• Create and update Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
• Manage and track A.C.N. (Advanced Change Notices)

Requirements

• Advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree)
• Typically 5 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master’s + 3 years of related work experience)
• Configuration Management experience
• Experience with EIA 649-1
• Knowledge of military configuration management rules
