Support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) as the Configuration Management/Data Management (CMDM) Manager on the Western Range.
Responsibilities
- Manage Configuration Management, Data Management, Product Support (technical manual development/maintenance, integrated logistics support), and Technical Data Management (drafting, drawing development/maintenance) functions.
- Provide CMDM-related technical judgment and leadership, ensuring proactive and knowledgeable processes across supported functional areas.
- Deliver managerial direction, adhering to established department/company policies and maintaining high professional standards among staff.
- Interface with internal and external customers, coordinate process and product reviews, establish and maintain product baselines, and review and release engineering work products.
- Prepare proposals, generate basis of estimates, and manage personnel resources.
- Establish and implement short- and long-term strategies to deliver services within reasonable schedules and budgets.
- Define and communicate goals, objectives, methodologies, tasks, and roles to personnel.
- Ensure coordination across cross-functional teams through broad communication.
- Partner with the ER CMDM Manager to apply a consistent and comprehensive approach across the SFRC enterprise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of Engineering or relevant experience, including Configuration and Data Management experience.
- Experience in a DoD environment.
- At least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Experience supporting the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) preferred.
Skills
- Ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external working relationships, including with employees, upper management, vendors, and high-level government personnel.
- Demonstrated leadership, process improvement, people management, project management, presentation, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution.
- Understanding of Configuration and Data Management disciplines.
- Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, and Source Control tools.
Additional Qualifications
- Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends to support specific project requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
Pay
The annual starting salary for this position is between $130,000 - $140,000. Factors affecting starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
