About the role
Credence supports the B-52 Stratofortress Division (AFLCMC WBD) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The division modernizes and sustains the B-52 fleet and ensures operational safety and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Support management operations functions within the F/B Directorate.
- Understand commercial CM standards and practices to support HQs and/or higher level taskings.
- Review program-unique specifications for proper format, content, and compliance with program requirements and standards.
- Manage configuration control functions, including receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking, and final disposition of ACSNs, ECPs, CCPs, RFDs/RFWs, DRs, and QCPs.
- Prepare and maintain CDRLs for inclusion in RFPs, contracts, and contract modifications.
- Support data reviews and audits, including audit planning, auditing hardware and software Configuration Items (CIs), and tracking action items.
- Prepare and maintain engineering drawings and support the DR function.
- Assist with CM tasks, including managing DRs, preparing TCTOs, and coordinating document submissions.
- Perform technical writing functions for engineering specifications, user manuals, and studies.
- Participate in Government review/meetings/working groups and assist program offices with DIDs, CDRLs, data calls, and reviews.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field with 10 years of experience in the DoD, or
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 12 years of experience in the DoD, including 5 years in the DoD.
- 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, including 8 years in the DoD.
- Knowledge of Government policy, directives, standards, handbooks, pamphlets, etc., as well as DoD adopted industry standards relating to CM/DM.
- Experience with CM/DM input requirements for program plans and SOWs, PWSs, CDRLs, Section L - Instructions to Offerors, and Section M - Basis for Award for RFPs, MIL STDs, and change letters.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of CM/DM principles, criteria, and procedures.
- Experience with commercial CM standards and practices.
- Proficiency in managing configuration control functions and change proposals.
- Ability to prepare and maintain CDRLs and technical documents.
- Technical writing skills for complex engineering specifications, user manuals, and studies.
- Experience with data management and configuration audits.
