Roles and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the configuration baseline for products, systems, or projects
- Ensure all components and documents are clearly identified and controlled
- Manage changes to configuration items through a formal change control process
- Cookordination and facilitation of Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and processes for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Trouble Reports (TRs), Drawing Revision Notices (DRNs)
- Maintain accurate records of configuration item status, including versions, changes, and current configurations
- Conduct configuration audits to verify compliance with documented requirements
- Track and report on the implementation of approved changes
- Reviews engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to determine documentation and material requirements, ensure compliance with engineering specifications, and to ensure engineering orders reflect latest requirements
- Analyzes proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals, and ensures all documents have required approvals
- Develops solutions for complex issues independently
- Affords advocacy for the program; coordinates and delivers Contract / Supplier Delivery Requirements Lists (CDRLs/SDRLs) to meet contractual requirements
- Prepares documentation for archive
- Notifies appropriate departments of any new or updated data
- Ensures proper handling, storage, retrieval, and protection of technical data and documentation
- Continuously evaluates and improves configuration and data management processes and tools
- Ensures adherence to industry standards, organizational policies, and contractual requirements regarding configuration and data management
- Collaborates with engineering, quality, project management, and other teams to support project objectives
- Provides timely configuration and data management support throughout the project lifecycle
Basic Qualifications
- High School and a minimum of 5 years related experience
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel & PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe, TeamCenter, and other related CM programs
- Must have a Secret level clearance

- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 10007, or MIL-STD-973/IEEE 828
- Keen attention to detail for managing complex datasets and configuration items
- Familiarity with JIRA
- Self-motivated and able to effectively work with all levels of the organization
- Strong written and verbal communications skills along with the ability to understand and communicate technically oriented material
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of configuration data
- Experience supporting audits and compliance activities
