Conference Services Manager
About the role
The Conference Services Manager at Foxwoods Resort Casino is responsible for planning, coordinating, detailing, and executing all aspects of assigned group programs. This includes overseeing catering functions, managing room blocks, handling meeting and event logistics, billing and payment processes, vendor coordination, and post-event follow-up. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage events ranging from 10 to over 2,000 attendees.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of assigned group programs
- Oversight of catering functions, room blocks, and event logistics
- Billing and payment management
- Vendor coordination and management
- Post-event follow-up and client liaison
- Work closely with departments such as Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, AV, Engineering, Reservations, Security, Transportation, Entertainment, and third-party vendors
- Ensure compliance with tribal policies and safety standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or an Associate’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel, Sports & Entertainment, or Restaurant Management
- Two (2) years of related experience as a manager in hotel group sales, catering, banquets, convention services, front desk, or reservations
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with department-specific computer programs such as Delphi, Delphi Diagramming HMS, Outlook, Passkey, Excel, and Word
