About the role
This is a remote position. This role focuses on content-driven, intellectually engaging events in the legal and business sectors. It involves market research, agenda creation, speaker recruitment, and event execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities for commercially viable conference topics.
- Develop comprehensive, intellectually engaging agendas with clear value propositions for attendees.
- Identify, approach, and secure thought leaders, keynote speakers, and panelists from relevant industries.
- Partner with marketing teams to create compelling promotional content.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of conferences, ensuring content quality and audience engagement.
Who We're Looking For
- Understand content-heavy conferences: Focus on delivering technical, topic-driven events rather than trade shows or exhibitions.
- Scale conferences effectively: Have experience producing multiple conferences per year with varying audience sizes.
- Evaluate commercial viability: Know what makes a conference profitable and valuable to its audience.
Experience & Skills
- 2–5+ years in conference production (business or legal sectors preferred).
- Strong research, critical thinking, and networking skills.
- Prioritize building relationships with SMEs and senior stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen to develop profitable conference concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (JD or MBA preferred).
- Multilingual candidates (e.g., French, Spanish, or German) are a plus.
- Background in defense, aerospace, or technical industries is an advantage.
