Conference Producer - Remote Any Canada Base - $ 90K + Profit Sharing

About the role

This is a remote position. This role focuses on content-driven, intellectually engaging events in the legal and business sectors. It involves market research, agenda creation, speaker recruitment, and event execution.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities for commercially viable conference topics.
• Develop comprehensive, intellectually engaging agendas with clear value propositions for attendees.
• Identify, approach, and secure thought leaders, keynote speakers, and panelists from relevant industries.
• Partner with marketing teams to create compelling promotional content.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of conferences, ensuring content quality and audience engagement.

Requirements

• Understand content-heavy conferences: Focus on delivering technical, topic-driven events rather than trade shows or exhibitions.
• Scale conferences effectively: Have experience producing multiple conferences per year with varying audience sizes.
• Evaluate commercial viability: Know what makes a conference profitable and valuable to its audience.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in conference production (business or legal sectors preferred).
• Strong research, critical thinking, and networking skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships with SMEs and senior stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen to develop profitable conference concepts.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (JD or MBA preferred).
• Multilingual candidates (e.g., French, Spanish, or German) are a plus.
• Background in defense, aerospace, or technical industries is an advantage.

Pay

$75,000–$90,000 USD base + profit-sharing tied to event success.
