About the role
The Concrete Superintendent oversees and manages concrete construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves direct coordination with project teams and subcontractors to achieve successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all on-site concrete construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Cookordination with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met and address any issues promptly.
- Manage material orders and inventory to prevent delays and maintain project flow.
- Provide leadership and guidance to on-site teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare daily reports on project progress and site activities.
- Resolve on-site challenges efficiently to keep the project on track.
Requirements
- Experience with managing concrete construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of concrete construction techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in preparing and maintaining project documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in concrete construction management.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
- CPM (Certified Project Manager) certification preferred.
