Concrete Superintendent Needed

Ekedal Concrete, a highly successful Concrete Contractor with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a Concrete Superintendent to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to work with an award-winning contractor on large residential projects in Orange County.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a plan for sequence of work and project schedule
• Plan and organize project layout to ensure compliance with contract documents
• Supervise field workforce to ensure cost-efficient execution of work
• Order procurement of tools and materials to meet work schedules
• Inspect, supervise, and participate in all work in progress to ensure conformance with specifications and adherence to production schedules
• Establish and oversee means, methods, and schedule for performance of the scope of work
• Ensure a safe work environment for all employees, adhering to strict safety standards and procedures
• Manage company policies and expectations for safety, quality, and productivity
• Study contract requirements and scope of work to establish execution plans based on project timelines, staffing, materials, equipment, and budgets
• Interface with clients to resolve problems quickly and ensure satisfaction

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Project Superintendent in Concrete construction
• Expertise and working experience with architectural concrete
• Broad understanding of all aspects of construction, including on-site inspection, verification of conformance with contract documents, scheduling, project budget/costs, progress reporting, and project closeout
• Strong leadership ability to supervise team members and sub-contractors
• Driver’s License (Preferred)
