About the role

We are expanding in the Eugene/Springfield, OR market and are seeking a Special Inspector. Our current backlog includes several large, multi-year projects in the region, providing long-term stability and meaningful project involvement for our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform special inspections in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes
- Read and interpret construction documents, RFIs, and structural details
- Conduct required field testing and inspections within certification scope
- Prepare accurate and timely daily reports
- Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and internal staff
- Maintain and pursue relevant certifications
- Uphold strong safety practices in all field environments
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a comparable combination of education and experience
- Visual welding inspection experience
Preferred Certifications
Responsibilities and compensation will align with experience and certifications. While not required, preferred certifications include:
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician
- ICC Reinforced Concrete
- ICC Structural Steel & Bolting
- ICC Prestressed Concrete
- ICC Proprietary Anchors
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
