Concrete Production Support Specialist

About the role
This position supports production in areas of the Concrete Operations team. You will be cross-trained in multiple areas to support production needs.

Responsibilities
- Cross-train in several areas of Concrete Operations:
- Grout: Follow standard work per product to complete grout seams and necessary stamping details. Load parts in/out of the steam tent and key complete from process board. Keep area clean and clear daily.
- Prep: Grind and patch raw product as needed (respirator training included). Keep product moving through the prep cell on time. Work with Kitting to understand priority items.
- Spray Team: Prep and clean molds, stage tabs/rebar and other needed items in area. Roll out sprayed concrete panels during each set. End of spray set clean up. Cross-train to become mixer and sprayer.
- Kitting: Follow standard work procedures per product to ensure it can be handled and shipped without damage. Create/modify pallets into specified configurations. Use of saws, drills, staplers, and heat shrink wrapping. Load semi-trailer with kitted product for shipping.
- Casting: Demold, clean, set-up, and pour casted products. Operate and clean the Concrete Batch Mixer. Refill raw materials hopper and stock bases/footers. Use hoists and forklifts to move materials.
- Paint: Follow standard work to ensure product meets specification. Proper use, labeling, and disposal of paints and other materials. Clean paint equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Able to stand for the majority of shift and use hand tools for 2-3 hours at a time.
- Must be comfortable with cross-training.
- Takes ownership and pride in delivering a high-quality product.
- Basic computer knowledge, preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay
The target hourly range is $18.50 - $20.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
