Position Overview

The Concrete Polishing Apprentice will work closely with experienced team members to learn the skills necessary for a successful career in concrete polishing. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, reliable, and willing to take on new challenges. The successful candidate will be a proactive thinker, demonstrate responsibility, and work well in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and Master Hand Grinding Skills
• Assist in learning the tools and techniques associated with hand grinding.
• Practice using hand grinders and other tools under supervision.
• Aim for precision and accuracy in all grinding tasks.
• Assist in the Grinding and Polishing Process
• Support operators during the concrete grinding and polishing stages.
• Help set up and break down equipment at job sites.
• Carry out tasks as directed to ensure smooth project flow.
• Maintain and Organize Work Trucks
• Assist in loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials on work trucks.
• Keep equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Ensure all supplies are stocked and ready for daily operations.
• Learn Premier Polishing Systems and Processes
• Participate in training to understand different flooring applications and techniques.
• Apply learned systems and processes in practical settings.
• Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as skills develop.
• Avoid Assisting in Installing Concrete Overlay Floors
• Work alongside team members to prepare surfaces and install overlay floors.
• Follow instructions to ensure installations meet quality standards.
• Engage actively in hands-on learning opportunities.
• Work Within a Team Environment
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.
• Contribute to a positive and cooperative team atmosphere.
• Show initiative in taking on new tasks and supporting team members.

Compensation

$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
