Concrete Plant Maintenance Electrician

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical issues promptly.
• Maintains and repairs motor control systems to ensure efficient operation of machinery.
• Cleans preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Installs and repairs electrical wiring and components throughout the plant.
• Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic systems and related electrical controls.
• Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic systems and related electrical controls.
• Maintains and repairs conveyor systems, ensuring continuous material flow.
• Applies knowledge of industrial electricity to maintain a safe and efficient electrical infrastructure.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and electrical schematics to facilitate repairs and installations.
• Adheres to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participates in team meetings to discuss maintenance strategies and improvements.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial setting. Experience in concrete plant maintenance preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, including heights and confined spaces.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
• Able to meet criteria to be an authorized driver for the company.
