Concrete Journeyman

Responsibilities

• Setting up the forms for edge of slab, sidewalks or walls.
• Building forms.
• Pouring concrete, raking to proper grade.
• Grading and prepping subgrade.
• Spraying concrete.
• Spreading and smoothing concrete.
• Tooling expansion joints and edges.
• Adding small stones or other materials for decoration.
• Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work.
• Installing wire welded fabric or reinforcing bar.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, preferred.
• Proficient in the use of industry tools and equipment.
• Up to date with the latest technology involving concrete work.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, with an ability to multi-task.
• Task-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including some overtime, weekends, and night shifts.
• OSHA 10, preferred.
• Operator's certificate, preferred.
• Able to lift at least 35 pounds, unassisted, and stand for extended periods.
• Able to adhere to job specifications and make top-class finishes in concrete work.
