Concrete Inspector

About the role

KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) is seeking ACI and PCI Certified Technicians for full-time work providing QA inspection of the fabrication of precast concrete and reinforced concrete pipe in various regions. The position requires travel and availability for night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

- Test fresh concrete for air content, slump, and temperature. - Prepare and communicate reports related to construction conditions. - Conduct inspections of prestressed concrete, especially for transportation and bridge projects. - Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete. - Develop and maintain healthy relationships with clients and contractors. - Communicate effectively and make sound decisions. - Work independently and as part of a team. - Maintain a reliable work ethic, punctuality, and dependability. - Possess basic computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel, internet navigation, and email correspondence.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED. - Integrity, promoting ethical practices. - Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in paperwork. - Customer orientation, fostering positive relationships. - Strong oral and written communication and decision-making skills. - Independent and team-oriented work style. - Dependable transportation and valid driver's license. - Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel, internet navigation, and email correspondence.

Physical Requirements

- Hearing, speaking, close, color, distance, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus. - Ability to travel and work outside, including in inclement weather. - Physical capabilities for walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, crouching, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain.
