Concrete Inspector

About the role

KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) is seeking ACI and PCI Certified Technicians for full-time work providing QA inspection of the fabrication of precast concrete and reinforced concrete pipe in various regions. The position requires travel and availability for night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

- Test fresh concrete for air content, slump, and temperature. - Prepare and communicate construction condition reports. - Conduct inspections of prestressed concrete, especially for transportation and bridge projects. - Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete. - Develop and maintain healthy relationships with clients and contractors. - Communicate effectively and make sound decisions. - Work independently and as part of a team. - Maintain a reliable work ethic, being punctual and dependable. - Travel as needed and work in various conditions.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED. - Integrity and ethical practices. - Attention to detail. - Strong customer service skills. - Effective communication and decision-making abilities. - Independent work capability and teamwork. - Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license. - Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel, internet navigation, and email correspondence.

Physical Requirements

- Vision (hearing, speaking, close, color, distance, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus). - Mobility (ability to travel, work outside, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, crouch, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces and on uneven terrain).
