About the role
KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) is seeking ACI and PCI Certified Technicians to inspect the fabrication of precast concrete and reinforced concrete pipe in various regions. The position involves traveling and working irregular or extended hours, including night shifts and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Test fresh concrete for air content, slump, and temperature.
- Prepare and communicate construction condition reports.
- Conduct inspections of prestressed concrete, especially for transportation and bridge projects.
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with clients and contractors.
- Communicate effectively and make sound decisions.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain a reliable work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.
- Possess basic computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel, internet navigation, and email correspondence.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.

- Excellent work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements
- Hearing, speaking, close, color, distance, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to travel and work outside, including in inclement weather.
- Walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, crouching, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain.

Qualifications
- ACI Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I.
- PCI Level II or III certification issued by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute.
- Experience with prestressed concrete inspection, particularly for transportation and bridge projects.
