Concrete Cutter Saw Technician

Position Summary

Working craft position. Duties include concrete cutting, operate equipment, cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Gas, Propane and electric diesel floor saws.
• Operate soff-cut saw, wall saw, chain saw, hand saw, core drill, wire saw.
• Operate forklift.
• Maintain saws, equipment and work environments.
• Demolition.
• Epoxy application.
• Perform all work in accordance with industry standard safety policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work on weekends and ability to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: 2 to 3 years of related experience or training.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Additional Qualifications

• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current Driver’s License, DOT Certification, OSHA 10 (Preferred), Forklift Certification.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
