About the role
JRI’s Huntington At Symphony provides oversight and management of 25 units of subsidized housing for persons living with HIV/AIDS. This unique program also provides 24-hour concierge service and access to JRI Health Medical Case Management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and direct visitors, maintain a visitor sign-in log, and assist residents entering and leaving the building.
- Cooker emergency and non-emergency medical transportation for residents in need.
- Provide wake-up calls for residents’ medical appointments when needed, accept deliveries of medications, document receipt and ensure deliveries to appropriate persons.
- Monitor and document behaviors that may be related to symptoms related to mental health and/or addiction.
- Assist residents to maintain their tenancy by providing interventions as needed.
- Contact property manager/building superintendent with any problems related to the physical plant such as plumbing, electricity etc.
- Respond to emergencies as needed by calling police, fire department, BEST team, ambulance or other emergency assistance as well as paging program Case Manager, Director or Property Manager.
- Administer CPR/first aid if necessary.
- Log and report all incidents (any important or unusual events that occur in the building).
- Communicate closely with direct care staff about all events on site, any building, program, and/or resident related issues that have impacted the front desk staff or building overall.
- Provide regular written reports to Program Director and attend all required meetings.
Requirements
- Applicants should possess awareness and sensitivity towards issues surrounding AIDS, mental health, and substance use.
- Experience in human services and crisis intervention is essential for applicants.
- Candidates must have a background in providing behavioral health services to LGBTQ+ youth of color and their allies.
- Candidates should either have certification in CPR/First Aid or be willing to participate in training.
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, HIV/STI, and related public health and social service topics is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for candidates.
- Candidates should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- A strong commitment to social justice and principles of cultural responsiveness is expected from candidates.
- Availability for evening and weekend work is required, along with the ability to work independently in an unsupervised setting.
- Relief staff will need to work at least one 8-hour shift per month.
- Schedule will depend on what the needs of the program are.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $17.50 to $21.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.
Schedule
Schedules Offered: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (must work one 8-hour shift per month).
