Concierge
Shift: Monday–Friday; every other weekend required.
Purpose
The Concierge is often the initial contact and first impression that many people have of Phoenix Senior Living. The Concierge is responsible for greeting potential residents, families, and visitors; managing both external and internal calls; and taking and communicating messages. The Concierge provides an overview of community information to inquiries in support of the Community Engagement Director and Executive Director in marketing and sales efforts. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Associate Director/HR Designee in community recruitment, computer data entry, and other assigned general administrative duties, as well as monitoring the Bistro area for refreshments, cleanliness, music, and ensuring a pleasant atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents; extend a warm welcome and greeting; offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests.
- Contact the Community Engagement Director, Executive Director, or Department Director to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors, ensuring minimal wait times.
- Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Phoenix careers and job openings at the community; direct candidates to apply online or capture candidate information onsite to launch the recruitment process.
- Answer incoming calls and resident calls within two to three rings with the appropriate community greeting message and identification.
- Take complete messages with pertinent information (name, number, message, time, date) as appropriate and communicate messages to the intended recipient.
- Provide a community overview to callers, determine who to forward the caller to, notify the caller of the transfer, and announce the caller to the community associate.
- Manage appointments for residents and family members, such as hairdresser, transportation, and others.
- Send get-well cards to residents in the community (obtain community leaders' signatures before delivering).
- Send sympathy cards to families and/or responsible parties as needed (obtain community leaders' signatures before delivering).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proven customer service experience and skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the Senior Living Industry preferred.
