About the Role

As a Nordic Spa Concierge at Alyeska Nordic Spa in Girdwood, Alaska, you will play a critical role in delivering individualized wellness experiences to our guests. Located on the Alyeska Resort grounds, our spa offers an indoor-outdoor experience designed for relaxation without rules, where guests connect with nature, themselves, and others. Responsibilities

• Represent Alyeska Nordic Spa with the highest level of service excellence and be knowledgeable about facility, treatment, and retail offerings.
• Create a welcoming first impression through immediate eye contact, genuine greetings, and maintaining a picture-perfect arrival experience from curb to front desk.
• Craft unique spa experiences by thoroughly understanding hydrotherapy, services, products, and offerings.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in reservations and check-ins to support a peaceful guest experience.
• Monitor and maximize key metrics such as locker turnover and average spend per locker occupied.
• Respond to guest inquiries, waitlists, emails, and phone calls to maximize revenues and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and good repair of reception, retail, and relaxation spaces throughout your shift.
• Complete assigned tasks with timeliness and quality, ensuring minimal follow-up is required.
• Support the spa’s values of inclusivity, community, and honesty through personal communication, interactions, and behaviors.
• Contribute to a collaborative workplace that aligns with our core values of acceptance, common goals, and respect.

Requirements

• Post-secondary certifications, diploma, or degree is an asset.
• 3+ years of management experience in hospitality or spa industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Comfortable with technology and open to new learning.
• Passion for mental and physical wellness.
• Previous spa, hospitality, guest service, or retail experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Previous reservation software and POS experience preferred.
• Ability to focus on attention to detail while remaining professional and courteous at all times.

Schedule

This position includes a variety of shifts, such as early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role operates in a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, business partners, and stakeholders.

Working Conditions

Work outdoors in a variety of mountain weather conditions, with average temperatures ranging from -30°C / -22°F to +30°C / +86°F.
