About the role
Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The Concessions Supervisor oversees food & beverage service for guests in arena concessions stands, bars, and portable locations, working in a fast-paced environment. This role assists the Concessions Manager and leadership team with training, inventory, and special events, while maintaining excellent attendance for scheduled events.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper setup of all concession locations prior to doors, including verifying opening inventory, assigning duties, ensuring sanitation standards, and confirming operational readiness.
- Oversee Stand Leads or NFP Stand Leaders to ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Provide operational expertise for smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution.
- Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices.
- Cover or back up any open position to maintain operational standards, speed of service, and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with Premium Services operations and event needs as directed.
- Ensure a safe work environment, addressing hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately.
- Maintain working knowledge of all concession locations, including equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access.
- Communicate workplace expectations to event staff and volunteers, providing ongoing training and mentoring.
- Promote a positive, cooperative workplace environment by working alongside staff and volunteers.
- Reinforce procedures and lead by example with constructive feedback.
- Supervise beverage service, including alcohol, and verify guest IDs for age compliance.
- Record and relay guest orders via the P.O.S. system and respond to additional requests.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Ensure equipment is operable and clean before events.
- Identify and cut off alcohol service to visibly intoxicated guests.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Assist management with projects including training, inventory, and special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within a food & beverage environment.
- Ability to supervise and communicate clearly with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state/federal regulations.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) for POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory.
Pay
Hourly rate of $17.00 - $19.00.
