Job Summary
The Concessions Stand Lead is responsible for leading and organizing the operations at assigned concession stands, bars, and/or portable carts to deliver a safe and friendly atmosphere at that one location. The lead is responsible for inventory and product management, but not for ringing up product. The Lead understands the content of the menu and ensures the timely delivery of food. Food safety and sanitation guidelines must be followed, as well as the setup and breakdown of service areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes and follows up on steps of service to ensure utmost guest satisfaction.
- Understands and can describe menu offerings, packaging/presentation, and pricing.
- Helps with inventory and product management for the stand.
- Records inventory for various concessions locations accurately and timely, including before, during, and after events and monthly inventory.
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supports concessions non-profit organizations and volunteers during events, and assists with food preparation when necessary.
- Maintains service areas, employs good safety and sanitation practices, and adheres to company guidelines and house rules.
- Ensures proper control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
- Fulfills responsible alcohol service policies.
- Communicates guest issues to supervisors or managers.
- Follows cash handling policies.
- Ensures Point of Sale system is functioning properly and takes action to resolve difficulties when necessary.
- Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
- Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
- Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year experience in retail, service, or hospitality.
- Effective communication skills, both speaking and comprehending English, with the ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance.
- An outgoing personality is preferred.
- The ability to interact with high-profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing exceptional experiences.
