Concessions Cashier

Job Summary

Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused event-based part-time Cashier to join our Concessions team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while accurately processing transactions, maintaining cash accountability, and supporting daily concession operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service to all guests.
• Accurately process cash, credit card, mobile, and other approved payment transactions.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system while ensuring all purchases are correctly entered and recorded.
• Issue receipts, process approved refunds, and make accurate change.
• Maintain accountability for assigned cash drawers, change funds, and daily cash reconciliation.
• Resolve guest questions and concerns promptly while delivering exceptional hospitality.
• Restock beverages, condiments, grab-and-go items, and other concession supplies throughout events.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked concession stands and service areas.
• Monitor product quality, presentation, and portion control while following company standards.
• Comply with all food safety, sanitation, inventory control, cash handling, and workplace safety policies.
• Support food service operations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of food service, retail, hospitality, or cashier experience preferred.
• Previous stadium, arena, entertainment venue, or high-volume environment experience is a plus.
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification (or the ability to obtain within the required timeframe).
• Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a POS system.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Frequently bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
