Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standard for excellent in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus, provide service as described.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures, including state/federal regulations.
  • Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirit varieties and suggestively upsell products to guests.
  • Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards for serving size.
  • Check guest’s ID to verify minimum age requirement for purchasing alcoholic beverages.
  • Communicate a cut-off time to guests as required.
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
  • Bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations.
  • Contact management or security if a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity.
  • Request additional product or restock product as required.
  • Handle cash accurately.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work station at all times.
  • Ensure bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Six months or more experience bartending.
  • Accurate cash handling skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.
  • Bartending school preferred.
