Concessions Bar Back

Job Summary

Leyv at American Airlines Center is seeking a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented event-based part-time Bar Back to join our Concessions team. This role plays a vital part in supporting bartenders by ensuring bars remain fully stocked, clean, and organized throughout every event.

Essential Responsibilities

• Stock and replenish liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and bar supplies before, during, and after events.
• Retrieve food, beverages, and supplies from kitchens and storage areas to support bar operations.
• Set up and maintain bar stations, ensuring products are organized, accessible, and presentation standards are met.
• Monitor beer taps and bar equipment, reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Keep snack stations, napkins, and other guest supplies fully stocked.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work, including inventory restocking and workstation preparation.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of bars, service stations, refrigerators, worktables, floors, and surrounding areas.
• Remove trash and recycling while ensuring all work areas meet sanitation and safety standards.
• Assist bartenders with beverage preparation and service during peak business periods.
• Bus bar-top seating and support guest service as needed.
• Follow all company food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of food and beverage, hospitality, hotel, club, restaurant, or bar experience preferred.
• Previous stadium, arena, entertainment venue, or high-volume experience is a plus.
• Valid TABC Certification and ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or the ability to obtain within the required timeframe).
• Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, squat, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
