Concessions Attendant

As our Concessions Attendant, you will serve as the central resource to our quick-service food operations. Your role is integral to our program’s success, offering the unique opportunity to engage in various aspects of Food & Beverage with a focus on genuine hospitality, speed, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, quality, and genuine hospitality to each guest.
• Greet guests, take orders, prepare, and serve offerings in accordance with established standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the menu and offerings, including dietary and allergen guidelines.
• Operate a cash register, receive payment in cash or credit card, and accurately count and provide change when applicable.
• Prepare food and beverage throughout the day by anticipating and reacting to guest volume.
• Work neatly and safely under the sanitary guidelines of the Health Department Rules and Regulations.
• Follow recipes accurately while maintaining food and beverage preparation processes.
• Complete food and beverage preparation assignments accurately, neatly, and in a timely fashion.
• Perform shift opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
• Stock and replenish food, beverage, paper products, and utensils as needed.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain amenities per sanitation guidelines.
• Follow sanitation standards, including washing cookware and utensils throughout the day.
• Set up and break down events and resort functions.

Requirements

• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.
• Flexibility to work events during non-business hours.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• 6 months of previous food and beverage experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Schedule

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and based on guest occupancy, season, staffing, and other factors. This is a seasonal position that may require flexible scheduling availability. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
