CONCESSION FOOD SERVICE (SEASONAL)

Location: Saline Area Schools - 7265 Ann Arbor-Saline Road, Saline, MI 48176

About the role

Sell concessions to customers at various events within Saline Area Schools.

Schedule

Seasonal schedule; days and hours may vary. Evenings and weekends. More details provided upon interview.

Pay

$18.00 per hour to $18.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Sells concessions, including soft drinks and various food items, to customers at events.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner following outlined steps of service.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Performs sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion.
• Enters sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Makes change, accepts acceptable forms of payment, and issues receipts to customers.
• Follows standard procedures for cash handling.
• Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer complies with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenishes condiments and general supplies and maintains cleanliness of the concession area.
• Ensures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior food service experience is required.

Note: Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf will be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods.
