Concert Security Guard (Part-Time)

This position is part-time and seasonal, with hours from April through September.

About the role

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre is looking for fun, energetic, and music-loving individuals to join the team as Concert Security Guards. This seasonal, hourly position works concert days only, with training beginning in April and the season concluding in September. Employment may carry over to the 2027 concert season.

Employees play a leading role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests. Safety is the top priority, and team members are expected to show care, create memorable moments (ENCORE), and maintain efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

• Circulate among guests and employees to preserve safety, order, and protect venue property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and others to prevent theft and maintain security.
• Perform searches of guests and bags prior to entry, patrol guest seating areas, and control access to secure areas.
• Operate metal detectors and other screening devices to prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
• Ensure venue policies are followed by guests and employees to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Familiarize yourself with venue maps, seating charts, and policies to assist guests with questions.
• Patrol premises to detect signs of intrusion and secure doors, windows, and gates.
• Escort or transport individuals to specified locations or provide personal protection as needed.
• Warn or apprehend individuals violating rules and remove violators from the premises.
• Write reports of daily activities, irregularities, or incidents (e.g., equipment damage, theft, unauthorized persons).
• Work outdoors in varying spring and summer weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Must pass a background check and obtain security guard licensing/training through St. Louis County Police. Applicants aged 18–20 will be hired as licensed security watchmen; those 21+ as licensed security guards.
• Security or law enforcement experience preferred; valid St. Louis County Security License is a plus.
• Knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures in a business environment.
• Ability to perform duties professionally, make independent judgments, and adhere to policies.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Commitment to teamwork and executing programs effectively.
• Physical requirements: constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs, and occasional sitting.
