About the role
Responsible for delivering brand-informed seasonal concepts with leadership oversight. Understands how product design, market analysis and data analytics influence and evolve retail strategies at a brand level. Identifies and curates color palettes, trends, print/pattern, fabric and silhouette information for specific brands.
Responsibilities
- Delivers seasonal concepts at a brand-level to Nordstrom Made partners, kicking off the design process and influencing brand direction.
- Conducts color and trend research to support seasonal product priorities and merchant strategies.
- Reinforces conceptual/trend information as new intel becomes available, always keeping a pulse on fashion publications, social media and the runways.
- Competitively shops the market to understand the landscape, reporting back key findings to CFTs.
- Influences product decisions during the development and assortment phases to ensure relevant, engaging offerings for our customer.
- Has confidence to identify where assortments have strayed away from the original concept and can provide recommendations to course-correct.
- Identifies and champions efficiencies across multiple category reports to ensure team success, reduce workload where possible by streamlining research.
- Has the ability to support multiple projects and timelines concurrently throughout each season.
- Shows awareness for how inadequate research or missed due dates can hinder the design development process.
- Is comfortable presenting to Sr Leadership and has the ability to tailor the conversation to the audience.
- Supports Sr. Manager in fostering partnerships with CFT's and oversees catering content to meet their needs.
- Seasonal travel for research and/or product development.

Qualifications
- Strong design and conceptual skills
- Strong knowledge of textiles, artwork techniques & fabric
- Proficient in Illustrator and capable in Microsoft, Photoshop, InDesign, Miro, etc.
- Positive and passionate with strong problem-solving skills
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with business partners & teammates
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- College degree in Fashion Design, Textiles or a related field
- 5+ years relevant experience preferred
Pay
$93,500.00 - $155,000.00 Annual
