About the role

This role provides healthcare support at our onsite healthcare clinic located at our client's site in Phoenix, AZ. The schedule is Sunday – Thursday, 5:00pm - 1:30am with a 30-minute lunch break.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing.
  • Determine nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in line with established protocols.
  • Perform triage and provide urgent care to patients.
  • Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician and in accordance with state regulations and standing orders.
  • Administer prescribed first-aid treatment potentially performing such activities as application of splints, administration of oxygen or intravenous injections, treatment of minor wounds or abrasions, or administration of artificial resuscitation.
  • Communicate with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and to arrange for reception of patients at treatment facilities.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the center.
  • Maintain supplies, clean equipment and onsite clinic.
  • Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected.
  • Keep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the center visit.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
  • Attend client safety team meetings or huddles as required.
  • Aid clients with wellness activities.
  • Aid in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly appearance throughout the facility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • College degree from an accredited institution.
  • Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Advanced EMT certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, and Hair and Oral Fluids Collection certifications are a plus.
  • OSHA safety certifications or experience are a plus.
  • ARC/CPR Instructor certification is a plus.
  • 3 years of 911 experience required.
  • Fire Fighter experience is a plus.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Continuous sitting for extended periods.
  • Frequent to occasional standing and walking.
  • Continuous use of hands and fingers for typing, flex or extend wrist to perform other job-related tasks.
  • Continuous use of hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate PC, office equipment and/or other equipment.
  • Heavy computer usage requiring wrist flexion/extension for at least 8 hours per day.
  • Occasional stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching or overhead reaching.
  • Occasional climbing.
  • Ability to hear and understand with clarity and detect sound, and have conversations with staff, customers, management, etc.
  • Hearing within the acceptable range for telephone and in-person contacts.
  • Normal or corrected vision to acceptable levels for office work.
  • The ability to lift/carry up to 10 pounds.
  • The ability to adjust to varying weather conditions, road and walking surfaces, and physical demands of travelling.
