Computer Vision Research Intern
About the role
Our research team works on cutting-edge projects in the field of computer vision (CV) and artificial intelligence (AI), helping machines perceive, understand, and reason about the world around them. We are looking for a passionate and talented intern to join our research team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated with broad knowledge in CV/AI and demonstrated ability for new technology research, including a proven record of influential publications in related fields. The intern will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of researchers in the exploration of advanced techniques and contribute to projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct original research in computer vision, including but not limited to spatial intelligence and reasoning (e.g., 3D/4D scene understanding, reconstruction, embodied perception, vision-language models, multimodal generative modeling, etc.), from conceptualization through implementation and evaluation.
- Identify state-of-the-art (SOTA) techniques, perform systematic literature reviews, and benchmark existing methods to inspire new ideas.
- Conduct experimental studies and refine solutions based on qualitative evaluation and quantitative metrics.
- Write research papers and publish findings in top-tier CV/ML conferences and journals.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of computer vision and machine learning fundamentals; experience with 3D vision, geometric reasoning, or embodied AI is a plus.
- Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Proven experience in conducting original research in computer vision, with at least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal or conference.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to academic publications and present research findings.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- PhD student in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $18 to $59, depending on degree-seeking academic program (PhD, Master’s, Bachelor’s, etc.), years of relevant experience, year in school, geographic location, credentials, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Benefits
- Housing allowance and relocation benefit might be provided to intern candidates who meet the qualifications.
