Computer Vision Engineer Intern
About the role
Space Dynamics Laboratory’s (SDL) internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students the chance to work on state‑of‑the‑art technologies in space‑, airborne‑, and ground‑based systems. Interns receive mentorship from engineers, contribute to professional‑level assignments that complement academic studies, and participate in training workshops, networking events, and summer activities. The Strategic Military Space Division seeks a computer vision student for a summer 2027 internship in North Logan, Utah, with on‑site support required by Monday, June 7 and availability for up to 12 weeks. The role involves implementing spacecraft pose estimation algorithms, porting/updating existing computer vision code, analyzing performance, documenting results, and presenting findings. Successful interns may be considered for continued employment or a transition to student/full‑time positions that require security‑clearance eligibility.
