About the role
We are on the hunt for a skilled and dedicated Computer Vision Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the autonomous systems industry where you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge computer vision systems for robotic arms in industrial manufacturing use cases at scale. You will be part of a team that pushes the boundaries of what is possible, developing technology that has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with the world.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize computer vision algorithms for real-time applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and system design.
- Perform research and development activities to support project needs and to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in the field.
- Implement and maintain rigorous testing protocols to ensure the quality and reliability of algorithms.
- Work closely with software engineers to integrate computer vision systems into broader product architectures.
- Document algorithm development and performance results.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems, leveraging your creativity and technical expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in computer vision or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV.
- Experience with image processing techniques and 3D computer graphics.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical foundations behind computer vision algorithms.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing computer vision algorithms in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
