Computer Operator

Our client is seeking a Computer Operator to support daily computer operations activities within the Data Center Operations team. This role works in a fast-paced environment focused on maintaining the health and stability of critical systems and processes.

About the role

The Computer Operator is responsible for monitoring system activity, processing scheduled and unscheduled jobs, tracking exceptions, and supporting daily operational workflows. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working within a structured operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance and activity
• Process scheduled and unscheduled jobs
• Track exceptions and troubleshoot issues
• Coordinate with internal teams when exceptions arise
• Process requests from internal customers
• Support daily operational workflows

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a Data Center, IT Operations, Help Desk, or technical support environment
• Experience working with monitoring tools and responding to system alerts
• Understanding of automated batch processing and job scheduling environments
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal communication skills
• High School Diploma (required)

Qualifications

• Multi-platform Operations Experience (preferred)

• Working knowledge of monitoring tools and automated batch processing (preferred)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00 per hour.
