Computer Numerical Control Programmer

About the role

Our client is a precision manufacturing and engineering company specializing in complex machining, tooling, and custom‑engineered components. They support OEMs across multiple industries with high‑quality machining, advanced engineering capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This role is located in St. Joseph, MO and is on‑site.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs from 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Write, modify, and refine CNC programs for mills, lathes, grinders, and other machining equipment.
• Determine machining sequences, cutting paths, tooling, and workholding requirements.
• Run simulations and machine prove‑outs to verify accuracy and make adjustments.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, and instructions to support efficient production.
• Work with engineering, machinists, and quality teams to resolve programming or production issues.
• Improve setup times, tooling utilization, machining efficiency, and maintain revision‑controlled program records.
