Johnson College is seeking a part-time Computer Numerical Control instructor for an in-person, 285-hour non-credit certificate CNC training program aimed at individuals entering the high-demand machining field.
About the role
The instructor will teach both the theory and hands-on practice of conventional and computer numerical control machining, including math for machinists, the use of metals, and the stresses placed upon them.
Responsibilities
- Organize and deliver class syllabi and objectives in a clear, concise manner
- Maintain an organized and safe lab environment
- Ensure training aids, tools, and equipment are maintained and prepared for classroom and lab use
- Keep accurate records of student performance and submit academic records in a timely manner
- Provide students with timely feedback
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of full-time industry expertise and/or work experience
- Appropriate education/training credentials
- Teaching experience with adults is preferred
- Formal teaching certification is not required
- A teaching demonstration may be required
